In life many things are perceived to be dangerous, but really they are the most delicate, harmless things in the world. Lets take a rose for example. A rose is a flower that represents love. It has hundreds of delicate pedals but yet when touched a person is cut with its thorn. Nora is just like a rose. The thorns protect her secret and act as a shell that Nora can hide behind to keep her secret safe. But really Nora is a delicate pedal. She only acts a certain way because just like thorns are supposed to protect the rose, she has to protect her secret.
Some animals also are perceived as dangerous but really they are harmless. When a person thinks of sharks they think of death. But really only some sharks kill humans. The basking shark is a great example. The basking shark is the second largest animal in the world. It can grow up to thirty-three feet and weigh up to four tons. When seen, most people begin to freak but this shark is a filter feeder. It will not attack a human. Animals just like the basking shark all have one thing in common, they represent Nora of course. When just looking at Nora all you see is her exterior. You think of a " well off" woman with a great marriage. But deep down the truth about her is hidden just like these animals. Today a person judges another person or object in less than a second, and that is why appearance is so important in today's society. When a person does this though they miss the whole truth. They look at the basking shark and think run, they look at Nora and think perfect, but really the exterior of almost everything is just a mask to hide under. It is a false accusation of who someone really is.

So I am sitting in the car with my dad and I ask to to turn the radio on. He puts on his favorite station and the song Mr. Roboto, by Styx, starts playing. As he is about to change the station so he can listen to sports radio I ask him to stop. I realized that this song is a perfect representation of Nora.

Nora is just like Mr. Roboto. Mr. Roboto is, "not what you see, (he has) come to help you, with your problems, so we can be free. (He is) not a hero, not a saviour" he is just doing the deed because that is what he should do. Nora acts the same way. She forged the signature because it would make all the problems in her life go away. Her husband was ill and without her signature he would not get better. She did it for the good of all. Mr. Roboto also considers himself a regular man who hides behind a mask so his true identity is not revealed. Again Nora acts the same way. Her whole is is under a disguise because no one can find out her secret. She believes that when her secret is revealed everyone, especially her husband, will treat her differently. This does come true at the end. When Helmer opens the letter revealing Nora's secret he is in an outrage. He calls her a criminal and insists that she should get out of his sight. He will not even take the blame for what she did, which proves how their marriage is not the perfect marriage. Just like Mr. Roboto, Nora reveals her secret which was the best thing she has ever done.
So my papa came over a few days ago and when he had some downtime he decided to pull out his book of puzzle books. As we sat at the kitchen table trying to decided which puzzle we were going to work on, I realized that Nora's life is just like a puzzle, a word-search to be exact. In a word-search you have to look for a designated word in a pile of letters. The designated word is hidden or disguised behind other words and letters. Nora's life is the exact same way. Her secret is like a word hidden among many other things in her life that are not true. In others eyes Nora has a perfect marriage, but really her life is hidden. People can search and search for what her real life is like, but her secrets are well masked. Only a few people can search and find the hidden truth, but dare not to tell others. Nora has many hidden truths which can all be put into a word-search that will allow only a few to look and find her answers.
